From Tilliery in the parish of Orwell, Kinross-shire. Thomas Tilliery was a tailor in Aberdeen in 1657 (ROA., I, p. 233), Andrew Tilleray, horse-hirer in Aberdeen took part in the rising of the ’45, and William Tillery was a weaver in Aberdeen in 1770.
