Spelled Tullas in Wardlaw ms. Francis Tullois was retoured heir of Michael Tulloiss of Hilcairny, his brother, 1555 (Retours, Fife, 27). Mr. James Tullus, minister of Burntisland, is mentioned in 1598 (Dysart, p. 26), Janet Tullous was married in Edinburgh, 1618 (Edinb. Marr.), Mr. John Tullis was minister at Weyms, 1631 (PBK., p. 14), and Alexander Tullis, hammerman in St. Andrews, 1688 (PSAS., LIV, p. 243). Robert Tullis introduced printing into Cupar-Fife in 1803.
