DE BLAQUIERE. John Blaquicrc, Esq., settled in England after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes, 1GS5, and his son, Sir John B., was created Baron de Blaquiere in the peerage of Ireland. The chief branch of the family had been long seated at Sorraye, in Limousin, and had ranked among the noblesse of France for more than five hundred years. Previously to the expatriation, the immediate ancestry of Mr. John B. resided at Loreze in Lauguedoc. Courthope"s Debrett.
