(origin: Gaelic.) A beech-tree. The Fagans were descended from Patrick O'Hagan, living A.D. 1180. O'Hagan, the posterity of Agan. Ogan, Ogyn, or Hogyn signifies, in the Welsh, young, a youth. Gaelic, Og, a young man.
